Review: Motorgun – Motorgun

Motorgun

Classic Rock/Hardrock aus Rio bekommt man auch nicht jeden Tag auf den Tisch und umso gespannter war ich, wie die Brasilianer MOTORGUN wohl klignen würden. Gleich der Opener  ‚Heading For Tomorrow‘, mit seinen fetten Riffs und den eingängigen Refrains gibt die richtige Antwort: bluesiger Hardrock der richtig viel Laune macht und einen mächtigen Sound mit sich bringt. Zehn Tracks in knapp 60 Minuten hat die Band eingespielt und es folgen so Knaller wie das stanpfende ‚Rebel Souls‘, das flotte und sehr griffig-treibende ‚Back To Ashes‘ , das düster-groovige ‚Hellhounds‘, ein fast schon doomiges ‚Beyond The Black‘ (sensationeller Ohrwurm der etwas an die neuen Candlemass erinnert) und das lässig bluesige ‚Call Me A Loser‘ (großartig entspannt). Zum Abschluss werden dann noch einmal die fett-treibenden Riffs ausgepackt, die ‚Gong Home‘ zum Hörvergnügen machen. Der gleichnamige Longplayer der Truppe aus Brasilien sollte jeden Hardrocker gefallen und vor allem das einfache, aber absolut coole Cover Artwork, spricht doch nun jeden halbwegs interessierten Rocker an oder etwa nicht? Nehmt MOTORGUN mit ins Auto, denn dort macht nochmal soviel Spass sich die 60 Minuten zu geben. Hach, es sind doch immer die überraschenden Veröffentlichungen die einem den Tag versüßen. Cooler Stoff….
